PURPOSE

The Quebec Business Teachers' Association (QBTA) was founded to establish a rapport among business teachers and their associations, the Ministry of Education of Quebec (MEQ), and the business world.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

• to promote a truly professional spirit among business education teachers in the province.

• to ensure that the business education programs reflect the needs of the business world.

• to promote all phases of education in general and business in particular.

• to maintain high standards of business education in the province.

• to encourage research and the dissemination and use of research findings.

• to initiate communication and cooperation among local, provincial, national, and international business education groups.

ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES

• annual conference

• professional development workshops

• representation on various MEQ committees (pedagogical material, programs, evaluation)

• preparation of policy statements reflecting QBTA views on issues affecting business education in the province

• liaison with QPAT Curriculum Council
